EVENT OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT SESI 1 2024/2025

EVENT OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT covers the knowledge and

understanding of planning and management skills of an event. Effective planning and

preparation are crucial to the success of an event therefore students are required to

prepare the necessary skills by learning event budgets, set event objectives, plan and

manage a successful event. This course lead students to look at the operational and

marketing plan as well as managing, implementing and evaluating the event.

DIGITAL ENTERPRENEURSHIP FOR TOURISM

Digital Entrepreneurship for Tourism and Hospitality introduces how to develop creativity and innovation and managing risk in starting up a digital business environment. This course will also guide the students on ways to conduct a business using online marketing platforms such as social media marketing, website, mobile marketing and email marketing. This course also emphasis on the development of e-business via ecommerce platform to reach a wider market.

TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MARKETING

TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MARKETING provides knowledge on theories, concepts, and strategies applied to market the products and services offered by the tourism and hospitality industry.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

CLO 1: explain knowledge of marketing concepts and marketing mix in the tourism and hospitality industry

CLO 2: determine market segmentation, market positioning and social media marketing for the tourism and hospitality industry.

CLO 3: develop entrepreneurial skills in the marketing plan for tourism and hospitality products and services.
