COSTING AND ESTIMATING introduces an overview of the estimating process in printing production using manual and computer assisted method. Exposure focus on cost estimation in the printing industry including paper, ink, electronic prepress and desktop publishing production, photomechanical prepress production, sheet-fed offset and digital press production, as well as post-press production. The overheads and wages of the printing production are also taken into consideration in the estimation process.
